As investigations into Russia interference in the presidential election becomes more complicated, some critics are calling for a special prosecutor to step in. Critics believe this would make the process less politicized and necessary to get to the facts. Peter Zeidenberg, a former federal prosecutor for the Justice Department, has called the special prosecutor role “a deeply flawed mechanism” and warns that it won’t hold all the answers. He joins Soledad O’Brien to discuss the role of a special prosecutor, the differences between types of federal investigations and how transparency could be in jeopardy.
