In Chicago, one of the nation’s most violent cities, homicides are highly concentrated in segregated pockets of the city, often areas that are predominately black. Fr. Michael Pfleger is the pastor at Saint Sabina on Chicago’s south side and is recognized as a controversial figure in the city, with his outspoken advocacy against racial injustice.
