Candidates are announcing their intentions for the White House in 2020 and more mayors are joining the Democratic field. But how do they make the leap from Main Street to Pennsylvania Avenue? Steve Benjamin is the mayor of Columbia South Carolina and the president of the United States Conference of Mayors. He sits down with Soledad O’Brien to talk about why so many local leaders say they’re ready to run the country.
