This weekend marks President Trump’s first 100 days in office. This arbitrary benchmark for those who have held the highest office originated with President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. In his first 100 days, Roosevelt signed nearly 100 executive orders and 16 major bills, which created the New Deal. Every president since has been measured by that standard. So far, Trump has signed 30 executive orders and no major bills, successfully filled a seat on the Supreme Court, created two controversial travel bans, and rolled back a lot of government regulations. First term congressmen, Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) and Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) have spent just under 120 days in the House of Representatives. They join Soledad O’Brien for a candid conversation about the President’s progress, the path to bipartisanship and the dysfunction in Washington.
