March’s bomb cyclone triggered catastrophic flooding along the Missouri and Mississippi rivers, after hurricane-like winds and blizzards tore through the Midwest. It was reminder that coastal cities are not the only regions feeling the impact of climate change. Jim Angel, Illinois’ former state climatologist, tells Soledad O’Brien this kind of flooding could become the new normal.
