Tamika Cody is a Content Producer with nearly 15 years of experience in journalism ranging from broadcast television news to print.
Before joining Matter of Fact, Tamika was the investigative producer for Hearst Television’s National Investigative Unit.
Before joining Hearst, Tamika was part of TEGNA’s national fact-checking team, VERIFY, where she was a producer and video editor.
Tamika also covered local news as a visual storyteller and digital journalist at 10 Tampa Bay, the CBS affiliate in St. Petersburg, Florida.
She also spent time in Fort Myers, where she worked on E.W. Scripps’ R&D digital project – HelloSWFL. The project focused on reshaping local news. Tamika wore many hats, including enterprise producer and visual storyteller.
Before venturing into the local news world, Tamika was a financial journalist in New York City. She covered mergers, acquisitions, IPOs, private equity, and the accounting industry.
Tamika, a New York City native, graduated from the University of South Carolina, where she majored in Journalism and Mass Communications.
Tamika enjoys art, culture, cooking, fashion, reading, vinyl records, and yoga.
