On January 27, 1945, about 7,000 Jewish prisoners were freed from the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp. That number includes Michael Bornstein. He was just 4 years old at the time. Now, he’s an 84-year-old father and grandfather living in New Jersey. To mark the 80th anniversary of the liberation, Bornstein returned to Auschwitz, but this time he brought his children and grandchildren with him. Matter of Fact traveled to Poland to capture their journey and to see how Bornstein is making sure his descendants will continue to share his story.
