After the firing of FBI director James Comey by President Donald Trump the Capitol has been in chaos. There have been multiple, and conflicting, explanations for the decision both from leaks, official statements and off-the-cuff comments. While Trump says he wanted Comey’s firing to put the Russia probe to rest, it is now dominating coverage. Democrats and some Republicans have been calling for a variety of independent investigations, which they say will be able to reach impartial results.
